20-inch wheels on 2017 CLS550 4Matic
I'm looking for advice. Can I run 20-inch wheels (with low-profile tires) on my car? If so, what is the maximum wheel width? Stock wheels are 8.5 X 18 ET34.5 front and 9.5 X 18 ET48 rear. I'm worried about clearance to the calliper and the fenders/wheel wells. Getting a straight answer from any of the wheel companies seems impossible, "It should fit, I think."
Has anyone actually done this with the same car? Spec should be the same for USA/Canada 4Matic 2014-2018.

Hello Ted. Unfortunately, this site doesn't get a lot of traffic. I copied this from another thread where an individual was successfully using 20" wheels on his CLS550:
"My wheels are: Front: 20x9 +28 and the Rear - 20x10 +35
Tyres : Front - 255/30/20 and Rear - 295/25/20"
