Need recommended local Service

Hello all. I am hoping that someone in this forum can recommend and has real experience with, a quality Mercedes service and repair facility here in the South San Francisco Bay Area that will take very good care of my CLS550 as I have a full service coming up and I have only recently purchased this vehicle. I am planning future long mile road trips, and want to make sure my care is ready for the road. Appreciate any feedback you can offer. Thanks.

I'm a few hours North of you and am happy with my local shop. I'll see if they can recommend anyone in the Bay.

I have a few colleagues who would do an amazing job on almost anything Mercedes and they ONLY do Mercedes new and old. I've caught people claiming they are MB experts who can't even work with the SBC, ABC, 190E, 500E, diesel, or the old mechanical fuel injection stuff

Cupertino Mercedes Service in Cupertino
Mercedes Exclusively in Santa Clara
Mercedes Service of Silicon Valley (independent) in San Jose

CLS550 needs a bit since they kind of go through parts given they come standard with a v8 which puts wear on brakes and suspension.

The only things that can strand you are the battery, alternator, and starter really and those things have warnings before they strand you. The rest are slow leaks like the airmatic/thermostat housing gasket/oil filter housing and cooler gasket and at that age it probably could use the PCV/Cam caps/Cam sensor and magnets looked at. The end tanks on the radiator tend to weep around 120k, which is convenient for a full serp belt setup, thermostat, water pump, and radiator.

I can't really comment on what *should* be replaced, only what should be looked at in case nobody replaced certain items. Usual fluid/filter/plugs service should get you straight.

This guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about good answer. My reliability test was to do about 20 quarter mile passes and see if anything started leaking LOL. The only thing I found was that I had a bent wheel that was causing a slight vibration. Like he said not much will actually leave you stranded. Even when my suspension compressor went out I could still drive it around for like 2 weeks if I needed to before it got too bad. I did a Carfax on mine and most services were just fluids and brake and filter inspections. It should be noted that if both your main and aux batteries go low on voltage you can't get it out of park, which makes it hard to tow. Can't confirm whether that is true or not.

And I want my car handled properly if I don’t have the timer time to do it. And I might just takt you up on your offer and pay you a vist. Then you can show me around this new territory under my hood. Hope your having a good weekend.
