No battery in boot/trunk. Need to open it help!

Battery lockout but more severe than the average issue..

Well my battery died the other day and after stuggling with a jumper box I was able to get the car to fire up and take the battery out of the trunk.

I took the battery in for recharging at the auto store and the the trunk closed while I was gone

Now I can’t get the car to power up with the jumper box anymore I believe since the battery is no longer connected in the trunk.

I tried the fuse box jump, tried putting juice to the alternator with the jumper box but nothing works.

I resorted to ripping out the psssenger floor board and looking for the power connections under then and I think I see the correct got and ground wires but nothing happens

Please I am in desperate need of help! I know I’m jumping the wrong cable but it is the large lower cable the correct one in the floor well?

Sometimes the obvious is not obvious. Does your CLS have fold down rear seats? If so, fold down the seats and go into the trunk from inside and activate the emercency trunk release. If that doesn't work because of lack of power, attempt to replace the trunk battery from inside.
Good luck!

Your "jumper box" might not have the capacity to activate all the systems necessary to power-up the locking system. You might try using your charged up battery if you have a set of jumper cables.
