B&O Style 3D Tweeters: China PnP kits vs. Sound Quality?
I'm currently looking into my next interior upgrade: Bang & Olufsen style 3D rotating tweeters with synchronized ambient lighting.I see many 'Plug & Play' kits from China online, but I'm hesitant regarding the technical side. Has anyone here installed these in a W218? I’m specifically wondering:Sound Quality: How is the sound dispersion and clarity of the speakers included in these kits? Are they a downgrade compared to the stock Harman Kardon tweeters?Speaker Swap: Is it possible (or recommended) to swap the Chinese driver for a high-end one (like Focal or Match) while keeping the rotating mechanism?Ambient Light Sync: Does the color synchronization work perfectly with the 2011 Pre-Facelift ambient lighting (3 colors), or are there flickering/delay issues?Would love to hear if these are just for 'show' or if they actually maintain a good soundstage!"
