New Owner's Thots
I've had my CLS for 10 days and here are my impressions: Fantastic! Those of you who are waiting - I don't envy the anticipation (although some anticipation isn't such a bad thing). You are gonna luv the ride.
I'm a first time MB owner and find this four-door coupe was made with me in mind. I wanted a sportier look than the competent, but familiar E and S class, but also needed four usuable seats. This car, with its terrific design and wonderful blend of proven E class components (airmatic is very nice) and superior interior appointments satisfied what I was looking for in ways other cars could not.
It's a joy to drive - the matte wood works great with the cashmere interior (i think i may like it more than the high gloss at this point). Basically everything performs and functions as advertised.
It's also great looking. day, twilight, night, shadow, and sun - it gleams. white brings out the contours and sheet metal sculpting better than the darker colors IMO.
