Shopping the CLS
There're six CLS350 arrived at my dealer last week.
I checked around and compared the different options
(1) If you pickup the wooden/leather steering wheel
then you have no touchshift option, that's touch shift
comes with only leather steering wheel.
(2) I saw the brand new embeded Sony T-??? car phone, we equipped with Nokia models in early days.
(3) Some are 275/40-18, some are 245/45-18 rear tires
I don't know the REAR tire spec in 18" are optional.
(4) Foldable cup holders are different than in the states.
(5) DVD based comand, with or w/o TV tuner.
(6) The rear seats are ok for 5'9" 1/2, taller ppl may have
marginal head room.
The CLS500 & CLS55 are open for orders, the price for a CLS55 could be over $200,000 !
the manager doesn't expect order receive on such models, so he could possibly send the CLS55 directly to Vath complete tuned for Top-end collectors.

If it has to be tuned (which I think it's weird since AMG cars are already a fine complete package), go for Brabus or Carlsson. I have heard many bad stories with Vath's kits.

Totally agree ! 
I think that Vath overtuned the 55 engine.

Another interesting finding of CLS350 tuning solution
MKB announced 330 ps package where hi-cams are used.
they may probably contract the CAM supplier, push the Brabus move to the pricy 4.0L solution with only 320 ps.
The battle of this new 3.5V6 tuning solution among tuners
has just begun !
