Hey guys,

I have a c32 and am thinking of getting a cls500 as luxury cruiser. I have always tried to stay away from first year production vehicles, but sometimes they just get it right. Could you be kind enough to list the problems you have experienced in your first few months of ownership.

Ardy6931,

I have been 05 W211 E500 owners since last year and currently 06 CLS owner for about a month now. From my experience I do not have any major problem with my E just minor DD seat problem. Also, no problem at all with my CLS, I consider I somewhat picky... Since W211 and C219 shares almost all the gears therefore I do not hestitale to recommend 1st year production car to you. Please keep in mind that current V8 500 engine and W211 E have been introduced for few years now. Let us know if you have any questions. Keep us update and godd luck!

cheers,
hlkc

(1)The seats look similiar, the vertical sewing lines I mean.
(2)7G reacts similiar to the AMG speedshift
(3)front hand rest & cup holders look alike (euro version)
Hey,the hand rest of C32 is tilt adjustable while CLS is not

All in all, CLS stands steps up than C32.

id say people looking for a very sporty sedan...er, i mean 4 door vehicle. thats what "drove" me to it, ive always been a fan of this style of vehicle, before the C32, i had a couple Lexus GS's which fit this criteria also.

I see ....... need practice english more.

Both lowered by PSS-9 (C32 got Eibach anti-sway bars additionally) and exclude the power advantage of C32
Bring them to the twisty track, C32 wins,CLS may probably keep only few steps behind.
Autobahn (> 150 mph) cruising,CLS feel more solid & stable.

What else MB models are in between ? W209 maybe.
