CLS SUCKS!!! TRADED IT IN FOR 645ci
The Mercedes CLS500 is a piece of crap!
Had numerous problems with it - horrible, horrible car.
Please refer to my previous threads to see all of the problems.
Long story short, it needed to go in for the eighth time in less than two months.
Bought a BMW 645ci and I am very happy!

You must have gotten one of those October Fest vehicles.
Full boat buy back?
P.S> You need to change your profile, the last item to separate yourself from that CLS.
Dido Adam76 - Let's know how the BMW does....

I think I'm gonna get rid of mine too - the fiancé is getting mad at me for all the women waving and talking to me about the car. It's interfering with even the most simple and routine errands I run because of all the people who come up going "yada yada yada bad *** car" "yada yada yada I can't believe Mercedes made that car - what is it - it's amazing" - you get the idea. And people are even getting mad on the freeway too because if I am going slow at all, cars end up in the lanes next to me and won't go past because they are checking it out - then people behind them get mad and start honking - worried about road rage.
It's become terribly annoying. I don't know what to do.
In all seriousness, I probably would have been inclined to bail on the car if I'd had all those problems too. The 645 is hot - it's the only Beemer I like given their latest body styles so enjoy the car and good luck with it!
Me personally, the CLS is now by far my favorite car of every car I've ever owned. I absolutely love it and couldn't be happier with it!!!

cls500 sucks
Hard to believe. The only problem I have had has already been related by another reader. Stops traffic, draws crowds in parking lots. I'm sixty years old with grey hair and I have girls checking me out. Good luck with the Bm.

I was thinking/comparing 6 series before I bought my CLS. Both are the best in the class. G. luck and hope your next MB will be better!

Sorry to hear. Hope the Bimmer treats you better.
Was over in Orange County. Stopped by Fletcher Jones today. Was BSing with the floor manager and he says "What are you going to do when you have to hoards of Vegas women flagging down your car on the strip" A middle aged man can only wish.

I do feel your pain though...BMW has not introduced a car worth buying in the last 7-10 yrs...the new 3 series attempted to turn around the notion that BMW is stuck in the 70's, but unfortunately, that design fell about as flat as the 5 series...the 645ci is barely "OK", but for that kinda money, you coulda had an AMG CLS 55!!

Sorry to hear your tale mjeagent. I know how you feel about having to return a car - I did the same with a previous 330 convertible. It just rattled and squeeked since day one but to be fair to BMW, they swapped it out no problem. Still leaves a taste in the mouth.
Now? I picked up my CLS last week (the first black one in Scotland!!) and I am just sooooooooo in love with my new wheels
Better update my profile too!

I considered the 6 (for 20 minutes) but nothing beats the airmatic suspension, cornering headlights (damn that's so hot), four doors, a sexy design and a sunroof.
I would consider ordering a new one. I'm sorry u went through all the issues, but seriously this is truly an awesome car. I hope no one suffers a similar fate.

Good Luck and Enjoy

Question: how many 645's do you see on the road?...Answer: 100's
Question: how many CLS500's or 55 AMG's do you see on the road?...answer: few, if any.
Overall Summary: if you want another ho-hum car, get yourself a 645!

Well the 645 ain't that bad. I drove it and it felt good. But nothing can beat the class and beauty of the CLS. The 645 looked strange and ugly from certain angles which was why I kinda dropped the idea of buying a 645.

Same here. The trunklid appears as though it was a big afterthought. Does not flow at all. Car looks great from the front and it does drive great. Bimmer also has a much better maintainence program. Hope he has better reliability than his CLS gave him. These new 5-7 Banglebutts are not known to be the most reliable.

Guys...I have to tell you: the reliability of my Ferrari 430 sucks so badly that I had to trade it in for a Hyundai Sonata. Hate my 430!!
