Annoying Seat Belt Chime...
anyone get it deactivated from the dealer? My CLS was in for service and I asked them to deactivate that as well as the keyless go reminder chimes. They disabled the keyless go chimes, but are saying they can't do anything about the seat belt chime because it's federal regulation.
i told them the regulation is any kind of reminder (flashing light, etc.), but as far as I am aware, there doesn't have to be a constant "noise". they're going to check into it, but doubt they can do it. i mean, we have 2 other cars that are 2005, and they don't have any noise...just the flashing seat belt sign until you buckle up.
anyone have any luck so i can reference them to it?
