I was in the army in Seoul in 1973 & 73, then I returned to the same place in 89 & 90. The second time I was lived in Yongsan, but I worked in Sangnam, just south of the Olympic staduim area. I worked in the ROK Army Special Warfare Command Headquarters. Quite the interesting place.

I went back in 91 to get married. We had already married in the US, but the family wanted a ceremony there. We were married for 5 years and parted ways. Lots of real beauties there. I might make a return visit someday.

Have you ever been to the US?
We should both go sometime. And we should ship our cars over there and have an Korean MB meet :p

Sounds like a plan. We could also ferry them to Japan and drive on the wrong side of the road. It would be a blast.

So, Mr. Kim, we might be related through my ex in-laws. Well, it could happen. I am sure not, too many Kims, huh? Also, I was a sponsor of a ROK Army officer in the Infantry Officer Advanced Course in Georgia. That was 2 years before you were born. The last time I talked to him was in 1990 and he was a full colonel and probably is now a general or retired. His name was Kim, Soo Hee. He was a graduate of the Korean Military Academy.

What state did you go to school in? I live in Texas.

There are many different "Kim" in Korea, and "Kim" is most popluar last name.

I went school in Chicago, Conneticut, and Upstate N.Y.(R.P.I.)

I know about the vast number of Kim's there, like Smith here. Did you go to shcool in Troy? That is fairly close to where my mother is from. She grew up in a small town north of Syracuse.
