Hi all,
I have recently signed up so thought I'd introduce myself.........
I live in London, England. Recently bought a CLS350 and really love the car.
My most recent 'car history' has been Porsches (2 Boxsters, a 996 C4S and a 997 C2S), so it was quite a wrench to go and buy a car from a different manufacturer. My main reason for changing was the requirement for extra room, proper rear seats and practically - a 911 is definately not a 4 seater!
After owning some pretty stylish motors (IMHO), I soon realised it was going to be hard to find a car that was both practical and stylish in equal measure. That was until I laid eyes on the CLS!! Here was a car that ticked all my boxes.
I was slightly concerned after reading reviews that suggested that the interior was a bit cramped but thankfully I have had no problems with this at all (I am 6 feet tall), even in the back. I would urge prospective buyers to ignore these comments and try the car out for themselves.
I'm not really into changing the appearance of cars from the factory specification, however I have just ordered the AMG grille as I prefer this in comparision to the standard one. By the way - can anyone tell me how easy is it to replace the grille (it looks like it's just a matter of removing 3 nuts, but I may be wrong). Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
