A lot of Pull in the CLS 320 CDI

After 17 years in the US, I am moving back to France next month. I already bought a CLS 320 CDI. It is waiting for me over there in my garage. I tested it for 4 days and had to come back to the US to prepare my moving. I can't wait !

Before buying it, I had tested a CLS 500 in the US and a CLS 55 in France. Each time on different roads, so it is not easy to compare the three versions… The 55 was a real blast on the small roads, a few miles inland from the Riviera. I remember passing three cars on a short straight portion between two sharp curves in no time. It was like a catapult ! And the breaking allowed me to get back in the line with great precision just before the curve.

I had also a lot of fun with the CLS 320 on the High Corniche over Monaco. I was surprised by its strong pull. Many times it felt faster than 7.1 from 0 to 60. Here, we have to look at the Torques. The 320 is 510 Nm whereas the 500 is under 500 Nm. The 55 is over 700 Nm. This tells you a lot… When the 320 is in full swing, boy, it pulls really hard !

And the grip of the 320 in sport II mode is excellent. I could not find the limit !

So far, in all respects, I am delighted with my 320. I am going to keep it 100% original. I think the design of the CLS is so great that it is very difficult to improve on it… Fans of upgrades need not take it personally. I just express the way I feel…

I agree one hundred percent. I'm keeping mine totally stock too.
