Two small gripes

HI everyone hope you are all well ! On Sunday we had the usaul wind the clocks forward ,So I though to myself piece of cake as previously in my CLK I just turned the ignition on & it adjusted it's self ! But not in the CLS ? why it's supposed to be a new design . Oh well so I did it via the command screen . I then thought Ill check the oil via the menu buttons on the steering wheel , but this function doesnt exsist.

So much for modern technology

Cheers

Hi to you! You are correct! My old CLK use to adjust automatically to Standard & Day Light savings time. On the CLS, you have to change the time using Command yourself. This will adjust the clock in the instrument cluster.

As for the oil check, I am able to do this using the steering wheel / instrument cluster display. Are you certain you are on the right menu??

I think I know what's going on here. I had a problem with my speedometer and my dealer replaced the instrument cluster. The new one does not show some of the menus like "No Messages". When I inquired about it, my service representative told me the new cluster is an updated one and is slightly different. I think your car might have this new instrument cluster.

You are possibly correct as I dont have the No Messages displayed on the menu's / Think it has something to do with the Full Command system & dvd or at least that what the MB Service dept advised !

Thanks anyway

2005 CLS350 (lemon)
The oil monitor is available on the 500 but not on the 35e petrol or 320 diesel I have no idea why we are stuck with using a dipstick? Your user manual will confirm this.
