Managed to get to the Enginneers page [Having still holding down the end & send ] Then pressed & held # * < / Then gives me only two option reginal etc , but nothing seems to work here ! Think I need a slap must be doing something wrong.
Any of you guys know what I have or havent pressed ? My son was tinkering with the system many months ago & has now got the amg logo coming on when ignition applied , Im sure he used the 3,5,7 ? would this have to be disabled before I can apply any new setting in order to have the current command chaged regarding dvd in motion ?

Here is what I found so far
in my 06 cls500 us/canadian model
i can get into the engineering section
got the amg logo (big deal)
changes the keyboard to 211ec from 211us
got into driver distraction menu no problem
dvd region free menu no problem
but... and the big but
no menu to choose 211 ec from the main menu
only w211 us / hawaii and that is about it
perhaps we are screwed!!
on the lighter side, I can however play cd burned in mp3 mode, i get about 180 songs on each cd.
anyone else had any luck getting the us model to play dvd's???
please let me know!!

how did you get into engineering i tried my BUTTT off tryin to open it....wow are the pictures of the comand system in the guide exactly the way your comand system is?

I try Unlock Comand APS CLS but don't work. ther's a new software for the 2006? My CLS is new only 5 days...

im confused when u guys say w220 wide screen aps. iv seen the wide screen navigation but in my s500 (year 2000) the navigation screen is like a square will these codes still work?

I Tried To Code "mute+3+1" Thats Works In The U.s Model S500(year 2000;w220) But When I Entered Into Tuner Mode It Took My Back To The Regular Screen. I Dont Know If I Need Any Other Parts For It But Its Cool It Works.

hi guys, lol. i c that alot of u r still strugling to get your comand unlocked. i ws on that same boat. until i found a link a month back. i'm from london, england. i have a euro version comand becker 7039. my car w211 2004 e220 cdi estate. there r only 2 procedures. 1st to get mechanical page. 2nd to get the 3 hidden functions . which will help u to disable while driving, play mp3, pay multi region etc etc. email me on kalith29@yahoo.co.uk if any of u want the detailed instructions emailed back 2u ( on acrobat version). i feel for u guys. hope 2b of help. peace!!!!!!!!!

CLS 2006: Unlock DVD & DVD in motion not working
Got my CLS last week (june 2006), and it has the latest COMAND. All key sequences to access the engineering menu no longer work. Mercedes has closed this backdoor....Don't know how to unlock the DVD reion code and DVD in motion then. Any idea or suggestion? (I'll try to have access to a Start Diagnosis System unit to see if with such box the menu or settings are still visible....).
