What kind of gas do you use?
I'm a new cls 500 leasee and was told by my salesperson and I think I read it in the manual that I should be using the highest octane gas I could find. I don't own the vehicle and will only have it for 27 months and it's only use is for my wife to run errands or when we go out to dinner or something like that. What will happen if I use regular gas?

i have an E320 and accidentally put regular gas in my car and let me tell you.. its not something you want to do. my check engine light came on and the car acted like it was stalling at times.
took it to the shop and they fixed it. i've been double checking at the pump ever since

Your cars ECU will adjust timing and blah blah blah.
Don't do it, in the long run you aren't saving any money due to reduced gas mileage.

Anyways, that's plenty of links which talk about regular gas in Mercedes and the consequences if any
Searching rocks.
