Top speed limter, too early??

Top speed limter, too early??
I just bought a 06 cls 500 and the speed limiter appears to kick in at 132mph, no where near the 155mph I thought it was. Does anyone have any idea why?

2007 CLS 550 and some other MBZ
The CLS500 has a lower top speed than the CLS55. There was a thread a while back talking about taking the speed governor out, so you might want to do a search on that.

The governor is set on US spec cars at 133mph. My CLS550 that I just did Euro Delivery on was governed at 133mph. The European spec cars are governed at 155mph. Why? I don't know, and I am not all that happy about it. I am probalby going to have the governor removed when I get it here.
