CLS500 vs CLS550 handling differences?

www.thetruthaboutcars.com makes reference to much better handling in the 550?

Can anyone attest to this? What are the differences caused by?

Can the 500 be easily modifed for tighter handling? (thicker sways?)

Thanks!

2007 CLS 550 and some other MBZ
Cls 550

I was test driving the CLS500 few months ago and I could feel the up and down shift, that's why I didn't get the car. Now, my 550 came in and have been driving it for a few days now and it's so smooth~

Keep this in mind, the 550 has higher hp and it has the S Class engine. As for the handling I didn't drive the 500 long enough (15 mins max) so can't tell you if there is any difference. Oh, one more thing, the 550 has the new all-in-one antenna (w/Sirius radio). Go for the 550 you won't be disappointed.

I have driven both a lot, and the CLS 550 felt tighter to me. Significant difference. so much so that I went with the new CLS550, even though it was more $$$. Plus, the engine difference is significant. Feels like more than 80 HP difference. 550 handles VERY well.
