CLS 500 2007 verus S500 2001
Hi All
Just want to say this is my first post and I feel like I have found home, fabulous information and details for my love of my MERC S500 2001 model and the new look of the CLS which I am considering purchasing
On my current S500 I have the 18' wheels, Bose System, Luxury seats, Iridium Silver, on the short wheel base it looks and feels great.
My only disappointment is I live in my car for the phone its the old Nokia however the Bose sound system and sports feel is not bad. I should add that I live in the United Arab Emirates, traffic conditions are dangerous and horrendously heavy at times. I have a young family two kids under 10.
What I was considering was ungrading to the new S class, but to be brutally honest the new shape left me just a little cold,especially in the boot area, as the sporty look I have on my current car is lost. Sure the new S class is a gigantic improvement with features but I am a family guy with a bit of a passion for the sports look, sound and from a very practical sense need a fully integrated modern phone system that the older S class does not have with the old Nokia.
I do love the new CLS 500/ CLS 550 or better, will it be safer then my old S class. I understand the Harmon Kardon system is not up to the BOSE is the BOSE an option on the CLS, how is the ride compared to the S class, How do the seats compare- I am a little dissapointed that the CLS bottom seat does not move as the S class seat does. I d appreciate it is based on the E class is that an issue and from what I have read the nappa leather is a the banana in the banana split (Love your humour).
Any advice appreciated and thanks in advance
