CLS500 transmission problem? need feedback
Hi. I drive an 06 cls500. I noticed that my car never actually shifts into 7th gear. At 60 mph cruise the rpm is at around 2k maybe a bit under. That's kinda high isnt it? 
When I put the tranny into manual mode at 60 mph cruise in comfort or sport mode, it is in 6th gear and the rpm's don't change so I'm assuming when I cruise in auto mode at 60ph and 2k rpm's it's in 6th gear. Howcome my car never makes use of it's top gear? Isn't it supposed to get better mileage? Is this normal?
