First scheduled maintenance not until 13K???

First scheduled maintenance not until 13K???
Finally got around to reading the maintenance guide on my CLS550 - I'm at 9K and noticed that the first maintenance isn't till 13K? I went in for the first 1K-3K "check" already, but just wanted to confirm with you guys on here...with the advances in synthetic, etc - this doesn't surprise me, but just wanted to check with the "experts".

Also, any recommendations for dealer maintenance on a modded CLS in SoCal? Car is lowered w/Carlsson front and 20" Work VS-XX's...I'm closest to Laguna Niguel but bought the car from LB Mercedes.

13,000 miles is correct and after that it will be at 26,000 miles.

13,000 mi or one yr, whichever comes first...
