Bluetooth

Just realised that the bluetooth facility on the iphone , is only for headsets/handfree?

I have also read somewhere that the iphone blutooth is compatible with the mercedes car blue tooth system. I just dont seems to be able to configure this out. What would happen should the two recognize each other & would it affect the internal phone in the cradle.

Apploigies if somebody has already asked the above question

Hi - I believe from other sources (including this site) that the iPhone is fully compatible with the latest MB bluetooth pucks. However, Mercedes' official line-up at www.wireless4mb.com doesn't list the iPhone yet. But again, from what other owners are posting, the iPhone will work fine (including the address book download).

Also, note that you can not use a second 'phone in the cradle' as this is replaced by the bluetooth puck mentioned above. (i.e. you can only sync one phone at any given moment).

Iphone

So basically , remove phone from cradle & search via bluetooth on command for iphone & code & go? presume then the contacts will come through the system. [ Will give this a try & advise back, perhaps European models are different from you guys in the Eastern area]

Cheers

To sync a phone via bluetooth you need to purchase the bluetooth puck.

I'm pretty sure these guys are the authorzed seller:
http://www.wireless4mb.com/

I got mine from the dealer for the same price. You can also get them on ebay a little cheaper.
