Ipod Fitment
Hi Guys
I have just had a quote for £525 ($1100) to fit a ipod Kit !!! in my CLS, my stealer is saying that its because on E Class and CLS they have to wire the rear speakers up ? And this is were the extra work comes in !!!! God this is expensive I am very capable of fitting but where do I get the kit and instructions ?

Dude, you are getting ripped.
I got my iPod kit for $285, including shipping from Ebay. Then had it dealer installed for about $270 at RBM.
Another dealer, Buckhead Mercedes in GA wanted $900 just to install, and I had the kit myself. Never called them back for anything else. Shop around.
I have the CD that has pictures and instructions on how to install the kit if you want it, I can email the PDF to you.

I agree with shopping around. I just ordered my CLS from Pappas the dealer in Hungary and it cost under 300 pounds installed. Its really worth having the official iPod kit because you can navigate your iPod through the multi-function steering wheel and its great.
