Brakes different
'06 brakes are "fly by wire" electronic (with a hydraulic backup). '07 CLS went back to "normal" hydraulic brakes.
I prefer the '07 as I had a hard time bringing the '06 car to a smooth stop. It did seem to get easier as mileage built up but I sold the car at 15,000 miles.
