looks incredible! Love the rest of the shots , great setup in the trunk and interior.

I was thinking of leaving the drip rails white, i notice you painted them as well. did you think that it would mess up the look? I think i'm going to do the grill in the hood as well black, and then do the shark fin to white. im still thinking on it.

Kind of on the fence right now. Maybe if you had black rims it would push me over. But the car is great none the less.

now that you mention it, black wheels with the black roof would look really good.
I think Jocampo's CLS will look good with the black roof, since he already has black wheels.
I decided to order the drip rails in black (code 040). My painter told me that it would be hard to paint because of the rubber weather strip that's attached to it. Over time the paint might peel. We ordered the new drip rails ($150 each) and they came painted from the factory

I also painted the rear roof spoiler black, and if you take a look at the rear pic you will see that the spoiler connects to the drip rail, so it all flows together.

so if you want you can just paint the roof only for now, and you can upgrade to the black drip rails later on.

My drip rails are brand new, i got a recall notice and i went in cause they said that they would rust from the inside, but when they took mine off no rust, so they replaced it anyway. I think i might do that or ask my body shop guy what he thinks. paint them, and if they peel get the black ones. thanks. i am thinking of getting this done rather soon, i ordered illuminated amg sill plates and they need to go in next. i will get the same black roof spoiler it looks good on your cls. My wheels are actually espresso. but yes they do look black at night. only in direct sunlight do you see the color. Your cls is definately one of a kind. Love what you did in the trunk and headrest tv's.

have you though about painting your mirrors black to match the black window shape?

you can see more of my car in this thread

thanks

Whats up joeybenz, I painted the grill black to match the roof and the black inserts in the Lorinser bumper, and I think it looks better that way. I think I might buy the 2009 grill, when it's available.
