Key won't turn in ignition, as if steering wheel is locked
it's weird, you put the key in the ignition but it won't turn as if the steering wheel is locked. i can get the steering wheel to turn so it's not as if it's locked. is this a common problem? any ideas? thanks

Are both keys not being recognized? Try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes – this sometimes clears the problem by resetting. If this does not work then it may be the EIS or if you have only one key, you may need a new key - both of which need to be diagnosed by a dealer.

Are you putting the key in the right car? LOL
Seriously, what Konigs said should have some merit. In the future, make sure to have two keys for these kinds of issues. It takes a few days to get one shipped.
