Does it have the AMG package and distronic?

 

comes with amg package but i dont know what is distronic???? my sister told me also the car has air suspension??? raises and lowers??? all new to me???

 

Distronic is the cruise-control radar system that tells you if you are too close to a vehicle, and displays the distance on your display. I have it on my CLS.

The airmatic suspension raises and lowers the car according to speed and/or if you raise or lower it yourself. It's standard and is really cool.

I would go for this: Keyless Go, Trunk Closer, AMG Package, Parktronic, Lighting Package, and Entertainment.

Why are you buying new? I suppose if you have to have an 09, cool. If not, you can get a CLS fully equipped for at least 10K less, with less than 25K miles on it easy. Just a thought.

 

I would absolutely get the 2009 if you can afford it even though usually I am a proponent of buying a gently used car. However, the 2009 is the mid-life facelift for the CLS, so besides including a few nice visual upgrades, the COMAND system is now the new generation software. The software works just like that in the new C-Class/CL-Class/S-Class just without the control knob in the middle of the arm rest. Also included with the navigation is the upgraded voice control which works incredibly well.

It's hard to say whether or not $78,000 is a good deal because we would need to know which options are included at that price.

Please note that pretty much every car ordered by the dealer will have Premium I. I think the OP also said that the car his sister looked at has the AMG package which is not available with the Trim Package. So basically we would just need to know if the car includes Parktronic and Distronic so we can get an idea of what the MSRP is.

 

As bigben320e said the Airmatic suspension system is standard on the CLS550. It's a great system as it also includes three comfort settings. The first makes the ride really comfortable and luxurious and then there is Sport I and Sport II which makes the car handle more agressively and sporty. It's great that you can control the ride based on how you want to drive that day.
