Air Suspension - disable feature?

I did a search & found conflicting info. Can I (or dealer) disable the automatic raising and lowering of my 06CLS500? I actually like the car stance after I park and the car "lowers" itself. I read the car will continue to raise/lower even when lowering links are installed. Elsewhere, I read that after installing an electronic lowering module, the car does not raise/lower itself - can somebody confirm for me from personal experience? Tnx

The car will automatically lower itself at freeway speeds and when you park. And if you install cheap lowering links (aka washers) you raise the risk of having total suspension failure (airmatic strut will fail). If you want to lower the car, have the dealer lower the Airmatic's settings by adjusting the voltage via SDS.

I have the renntech lowering module, and my car lowers itself after I park it.

CLS 320
Why is there an increased risk of strut failure with links?
