Also was this car lowered to get that effect of the wheels? If so what did you do to lower it?

PM me the best price for tires and those rims. What size tires on the front and rear?

I will call you Friday, but now that I have decided on the Vossen's VVS083 Black machined what is your opinion or thoughts on them?

Bigben...I too am in the market for rims once again. I had Asanti on my CL and they were very strong, very nice quality and finish. The ones I had were 3-piece. Of the 2 last choice you have...I would go with the LSS-10...it is a cleaner look and has a nice lip. For the VVS083 to me seem a bit bulky and it fills up the rim too much and the lip on that aint that nice. Good luck and post some pictures when you get them.

Problem is the Lexani's are not hubcentric. I would need hub rings, and I just don't like the idea. Anyone have any dealing with hub rings?

The Vossen's 083's are pretty close to them and I do like them. They are hubcentric, made for my car.

Just to informed you that there are alot of people selling their used 3 piece 20" wheels out there for a very good price. search around, look at classified and craigslist, it might take some time, but you can probably get a nice set of 3 piece wheels with tires for approx $2500.

thats how I buy and sell all my wheels..

I will take a look, but I prefer new rims and tires. At $3100 out the door for the Vossens, with Michelin A/S Sport that's not a bad deal for me.

have you done your homework on Lexani/Asanti? If so you would rather have Sevas brotha, this coming from a Asanti and prior Lexani owner!

To answer:

1. The quote I got was from Discount Tire, Douglasville.
2. To make you picture bigger, get the bigger picture and post the link. Pretty easy!

Spill the beans, fill me (us) in on the issues. That's why I posted here and have been on the fence for a while on getting rims. So many choices, and brands popping up everywhere. I see another rim shop popping up all the time, and all claim to be better than the other.

I have been noticing issues with certain shops, and have been doing some research, talking to people that have them, and looking on the web.

I'm not too impressed with Asanti nor is my brother. He's gone to the shop countless times becuase his tire leeks becuase the rim is crap. Asides from that he has had his chrome lip repainted 2 times (small chips here and there) and the customer service is just. I'd pay the extra couple bills for HRE, iForged, DPE, 360's. Not to mention Asnati makes some HEAVY wheels guys! heavy wheels = poor MPG, and i dunno about you but "I WANT MY MPG"

I have to say this...you do realize that the CLS and pretty much all MB's come on cast rims? Hardly any of them have forged wheels as OEM's. The CLS AMG rims for instance are Cromodora (Italy made) and the 55's had Belgium made cast rims.

Just to spin it up to date, I did go with the Vossens, had them for two years or so, and am selling them soon. Learned a lot about forged vs cast and the differences in production processes since then as well. True enough forged are stronger/lighter, but not bullet proof either.

That guy was banned, I would just go to Modulare's website and request a quote. That is what I did and got a response the next day.

Thanks..............I know that thats the main reason u should spend money on quality product......................n not vossens.....if u have a Honda Vossens r ok.....But for a Benz Forged is Classier.....n yes the Bulletproof part is on how u drive........

its easy to damage any wheel......
