Bigben...I too am in the market for rims once again. I had Asanti on my CL and they were very strong, very nice quality and finish. The ones I had were 3-piece. Of the 2 last choice you have...I would go with the LSS-10...it is a cleaner look and has a nice lip. For the VVS083 to me seem a bit bulky and it fills up the rim too much and the lip on that aint that nice. Good luck and post some pictures when you get them.

Problem is the Lexani's are not hubcentric. I would need hub rings, and I just don't like the idea. Anyone have any dealing with hub rings?
The Vossen's 083's are pretty close to them and I do like them. They are hubcentric, made for my car.

Just to informed you that there are alot of people selling their used 3 piece 20" wheels out there for a very good price. search around, look at classified and craigslist, it might take some time, but you can probably get a nice set of 3 piece wheels with tires for approx $2500.
thats how I buy and sell all my wheels..

I will take a look, but I prefer new rims and tires. At $3100 out the door for the Vossens, with Michelin A/S Sport that's not a bad deal for me.

yeah ima newbie
yeah i was wondering about some new rims for the 230..im looking for 18-20s. not racing but not big gaulky rims. staggered, black, with a chrome 3"ish lip on back and a 1"ish lip on front. yea i know its pretty specific but if anybody has some links that i could find some for a GOOD deal i'd appreciate it

Not sure on the logo, I will look into that. On the list you gave I will check them out as well. Sevas is definitely not on my list as they have been called out for fabrication problems and rims flying apart. The owner was a complete jerk after the man made a claim, and had to call the news to get a refund. Story is on the forum.

I have been noticing issues with certain shops, and have been doing some research, talking to people that have them, and looking on the web.

Spill the beans, fill me (us) in on the issues. That's why I posted here and have been on the fence for a while on getting rims. So many choices, and brands popping up everywhere. I see another rim shop popping up all the time, and all claim to be better than the other.

Just to spin it up to date, I did go with the Vossens, had them for two years or so, and am selling them soon. Learned a lot about forged vs cast and the differences in production processes since then as well. True enough forged are stronger/lighter, but not bullet proof either.

20" Modulare M1's does the car have a lowering mod. because it looks like its lowered including a ground/body styling . also those 20's are tucked in. how much are you sellin those wheels for ? and are you using spacers..thanks
I would try staying away from those or staying stock if possible...
Here are some images of CLS' that we have done in the past. PM Me if you have any questions about pricing etc![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

That guy was banned, I would just go to Modulare's website and request a quote. That is what I did and got a response the next day.

I have to say this...you do realize that the CLS and pretty much all MB's come on cast rims? Hardly any of them have forged wheels as OEM's. The CLS AMG rims for instance are Cromodora (Italy made) and the 55's had Belgium made cast rims.
Just to spin it up to date, I did go with the Vossens, had them for two years or so, and am selling them soon. Learned a lot about forged vs cast and the differences in production processes since then as well. True enough forged are stronger/lighter, but not bullet proof either.

its easy to damage any wheel......
