At the dealer right now for:

-7 speed bump/jerky shifting
-tilt down in reverse of right side mirror activation thru SDS
-popping/tapping noise from fuel system
-rattle in drivers door panel
-brake squeal
-Tele aid microphone doesn't work


Anybody get any of those issues resolved?

does cls have the auto tilt reverse feature? I dont think mine has it.

Yes it has the auto tilt reverse feature. You have to set it up in the menu on the display.

Konigs email me what you sent him please. I still have jerky on the trans as well at times. I mentioned this before to my SA still get it at times.

I'm curious what they find regarding the rattle in the driver's door panel. I have the same issue, but am not too thrilled about having the dealer tear off the panel

You know, now that I think about it....I have a really faint rattle in my drivers door as well..I hope the door panel doesn't have to come off to fix it.

Also, does the 2006 CLS55 have the reverse mirror auto tilt feature??? If so, how do I activate it??

I was told that my 2006 CLS 500 didnt have reverse mirror tilt even though it shows on my dash as an option in settings. For some reason I went to park today and it started working. I have no idea what happened but it works perfectly now. I tested it a few times.

Well i was scared to let them take the door panel off... but now the dealer told me they have several panels out because they can't find the issue with the tele-aid!!! I am not really happy.

I figured it out! You have to press in the passenger side mirror button on the drivers door is you want to activate the reverse tilt feature! (it must be activated first in the settings menu).

I'll just live with my little noise, I really don't want to have to take my door panels off!

I had two individual DTB recommended repairs to my doors for noises - no damage and completely silent thereafter.

My driver's side door is making a chirping sound (like two plastic parts rubbing) on rough roads. Anyone know if this is covered by a DTB?

Has the dealer contacted the EDAC (MBUSA Enhanced Diagnostic Assistance Center)?

Yeah for the tele-aid. Then they said oh it needs a new microphone.

They said no problem with the transmission and the door panel rattle was a loose speaker (i doubt it). This dealer seems pretty lousy. The ML loaner I have transmission shifts VERY smooth. Can't feel it shift while mine thumps or jerks when it shifts.

Updates:

Brake squeal: Replaced all the brake pads and applied squeal paste
Transmission: Updated software, no fluid change or valve body, etc.
Rattle: Claim the speaker was loose, don't hear the rattle anymore.
Tele-aid: Replaced the mirror
Tapping: noise not found

Best of all, they activated the mirror dip down when you shift into reverse!!

Did you have to pay for the brake squeal fix? I took my car in and they said it wasn't the pads, as I had 70% left. And they wanted to charge me like 250 bucks for him to put some stuff on them and he said it might/might not fix the problem.

I just can't stand the squeal. I'm like this is supposed to be a 80k car and why the hell is it squealing like a 1970 Datsun?

no charge for the squeal fix, but i really had to push them to do it. They initially said no issue, but i made them drive with me and listen to it. They said they aren't supposed to do the pads, but they were able to get approved... they were feeding me BS. I only have 5k miles.
