Teflon Coating or Not?
I will be buying a new CLS this week and was wondering if anyone can give me any feedback regarding the Teflon coating dealers say will help resist the elements... I did read from previous threads that it probably is not worth the money. I can get it for $500. Any comments from the members? Is the Teflon coating permanent? Does it really provide value?

NO! just save your money and give your new CLS a wax when needed. The Teflon is a rip off. Dealers love when customers pay for things like this, major profit for them. Good Luck

I got this stuff call Xzilon from dealer when I bought the car that goes on everything........inside and out. Was developed for Boeing's airplanes. The stuff is the **** and the car looks brand new everytime you wash it. 5 yr warranty and they even warranty against cig burns in car on the upholstry(sic). Was like $795, but agreed that a lot of **** out there is a rip off
