Dr. Color chip repair
I just extended my warranty on my 06 pewter CLS and decided to take care of the minor chips and scratches.
I purchased both the MB factory touch-up paint and the Dr. Color chip repair kit and tried them both.
I heard so much about the Dr. Color that I really expected a "miracle", but was disapointed in the results. It performed ok but the scratches and chips were still quite noticable after the application.
The plus side to Dr. is the simplicity of application, but do not expect it to fill in the chip and make it good as new. It only colors it. If you have a steady hand and an 0000 fine brush the factory touch up paint will give the same results at a lower cost, $18 plust $4 for the brush.
Was the Dr. worth it you ask...... If you already have the MB touch up paint and are satisfied with it, then do not buy Dr., but if you do not have a steady painting hand or have a lot of road rash Dr is a faster application, JUST DON'T EXPECT A MIRACLE, IT STILL LOOKS LIKE A TOUCH UP.
