I have a 2006 cls500, lately my car is making a whining noise and its getting louder. I have read about changing the reservoir and the power steering pump, the noise is still there. The car still drives the same, noise does not change when I turn the wheel. Only gets louder when the rpm goes up. Has anybody had this problem.

Hi I have recently bought a 2003 clk 320 and have exactly the same problem. Had an Indy look at it and he said its a noisy power steering pump. Did you manage to fix yours?

Sounds to me like you let your power steering get low and air got in your system, or you could have a leak. To bleed the system, fill it with p.s. fluid and turn the wheel from lock to lock about 4-5 times. Then refill and keep your eye on the level for a few days.If the level goes down, see your dealer.
