To AMG or not?

Hi - Love the CLS.
Going to get later this year either a 550 CLS or AMG CLS. Never owned the AMG of any model. Can someone who has tell me the maintenance issues (costs, frequentcy) between the two. Thanks.

Maintenance shouldn't be much more on an AMG - the only difference re: service is they need to be serviced at 10,000 miles whereas non-AMGs need to be serviced at 13,000.

Since you're looking into 2007/8s, the only AMG option is a 63, and so far, my experience with them has been nothing but pleasure. They are slightly more oil-thirsty, but that's to be expected. You should DEFINITELY go for the AMG. It'll make for a much more fun, enjoyable ride.

AMG.
The 550 feels slow after a few weeks.
