2006 CLS Purchase - Need Help

Looking at a 2006 CLS with about 22,000 miles. Car is in tremendous shape. Price is around $38,000. Curious for thoughts on price. It is not being sold by MB dealer so it is not CPO. Although original warranty would cover about another 28,000 in mileage, original 4 year warranty will expire probably this February. Curious to know if what anyone would recommend regarding either a warranty from MB if available or an aftermarket. In general how reliable has this car been for you owners out there? Last but not least heard and experienced squeeking with brakes. Heard this came from brake dust build up. Anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks in advance for feedback.

Well I just bought an 06 500 with 46k for $33,000 CPO for 1 year. extended 2 year mb warranty to 100,000miles or 24 mos. AMG pkg , NAV.

So I would say there are better deals.

That is a tremendous deal. CPO in the Philly,NY area with mileage around 35,000 to 40,000 are around $40,000 (asking) and did not have AMG package. Assuming you purchased in or around Arizona.

Buddy picked up a 17k mile CLS 500 a few months back in Los Angeles for $39k loaded and CPO till June 2012 from a MBZ dealer. The car was perfect.

Looks like pricing is totally different around the country. If you buy from a dealer always wait until the last day of the month and a couple of hours before they close. You will always get the best deal that way as they want to squeak another sale in for the month.
