I have an 08 CLS550. Wondering if you have any thoughts regarding rear spoiler. Dealership quoted $800. Anything aftermarket thats worth a flip?

I put a 3-piece Brabus style lip spoiler on my 2007 CLS550 and am very happy with it. I got the painted version for $439 from Direct Sales & Design http://www.directsalesanddesign.com/...Path=25_88_200 . They also offer AMG style and L-Style and unpainted versions. I found the color match and quality to be excellent. I installed it my self. Easy, but I recommend two people.

how sturdy are those, they all use 3m tape?

I've had lip spoiler (3-piece) on for about three years and haven't had any problems with bonding. I have found it a little tricky when waxing the car, it's hard not to get wax in the gap between the spoiler and the car sheet metal. So then the wax hardens the color white and it's hard to get out. I've given up at this point on trying to get it all out. But, you can only see it at certain angles and light conditions. I'm probably the only one who notices.
