Weird Zipping Noise Engine Help!!!

Weird Zipping Noise Engine Help!!!
Folks,
I have a weird high pitch zipping noise coming from the front engine drivers side next/under to the front engine plastic cover It only happens when the car is off and it continues about 3-5 seconds. Since now is colder, the noise just goes on and goes on and goes on. When would it stop? What causes this?
Please let me know if this is normal Thanks
