Violent jolt on kickdown when cold
Hi
I have a Cls 320 cdi 55. I've recently noticed that when the car is cold the car jolts from 2nd to 1st, and when I kick down to accelerate there is a violent jolt until the car warms up, then all is ok. Has anyone had this problem and if so is there a cure?

How many miles? Has the tranny fluid been changed? I have read that the valvebodys in the 722.9 transmission, if you have one of those, is prone to valvebody issues. I have a 2006 CLS500 and mine is acting up. No problems other than downshifting issues though. Lots of 2006 CLS500's owners have reported shifting issues.....

722.9 tranny issues 06' e 500
I can tell you know its probably the circlips (snap rings) and disc springs need to be replaced. This is the exact problem I have with my 06' e500. The dealer wants $600 parts and $3000 labor. Good luck and let me know what happens

Hello,
My '06 CLS500 with about 58k miles is also experiencing the exact same thing. Is it important to fix right away or can it wait? Will waiting cause more damage? Do you know if this would be covered in a extended warranty?
