Absolutely beautiful Konigstiger. Is the black and white interior picture from one of the launch package models? Drove one of those today with steel grey exterior and the interior you show in that picture. The acceleration is exceptional.
I am leaning towards the palladium exterior with the same interior you have.

Stunning!! Must....keep....away.... Hehe.
The E looks great next to (behind) it as well, these two are such a great pairing.

Very good early report from Motor Trend on the '12 CLS 550. Their test numbers look excellent to me.

Fug-Ugly. Merc has lost their way. The only Merc these days I don't think is U-gly is the 07-10 CLS. The only Audi I don't think is ugly is the 2012 A7. Most BMW people drive inconsiderately so not even considering them.

Your judgement is well off. 1st gen CLS looked like a retro Citroen. The new one is gorgeous.

Agreed Batman. Also the .92 on the lateral acceleration is pretty amazing. Combined with the 4.3, this CLS is in serious sports car territory. And the AMG can be expected to go well beyond this.
Also thanks for posting this over at clublexus. This CLS is so much more interesting than the A7.

I'm old enough to remember when a 0-60 time in the 7s or 8s was considered fast -- your early Datsun/Nissan Z cars, some of the Corvettes of the gas crisis years, etc. Now a 0-60 time in the 7s is mom-van territory.
When my new ride arrives, I may sample its 0-60 capabilities. The top end of 186, however, will be just a rumor.

Judging by the responses here, the new styling is certainly polarizing. I saw one this weekend, and I do like the look. Pics really don't do it justice. But after owing two of the now old body style, the brake noise issue makes me take serious pause - have they corrected this or is this an accepted Mercedes problem?

CLS Self-Parking Feature ? Youtube showing these self parking feature but on Mercedes Site, it doesn't show that as an option or something, is the car built-in this feature?

Then, "options." You should find Parktronic there -- $970. Be sure to scroll to the bottom on the "options" page -- some of the options may be off the bottom of your screen.

On the Mercedes US site, go to "build your own" -- http://www.mbusa.com/amg/build/#/mod...tion-exterior/

Cause I remember the previous package was just the sensor on the bumper
This one actually will pack the car itself?

Parktronic, at least for the new CLS, includes "active parking assist". The driver modulates the car's speed with the foot brake and otherwise the car parks itself (parallel parking).

I have a black 550 and have done the park assist about 7 or 8 times now and it is pretty amazing. It is a little inconsistent in finding spots to parallel park but once it does, it is very precise. I can say at least twice it fit into tight spaces in about 20-30 seconds where it would have taken me a few min to park

Can post some pictures of your car? I have a black one coming any day now. I was going to get the launch edition, but was not too thrilled with it, so my dealer did a trade on a black/black.
