2006 CLS500
Newbie Question
I am new to MB ownership and this site. I recently bought a used 2006 CLS500 and am in love with it. I have been lurking for several days now and I am confused about 2 things. First, many threads give a W then a number (ie. W211, or W201) or an M then number. What are these and how do I find out what I have? Second, many people respond to threads with "bump". What does that mean?

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
The W and numbers are Body style codes.....
Similar to B6 which is a VW Passat 2006+ I believe,
BMW - E46 M3's = early 2000's and E90 is 2007+....
W211 is an 03-09 E-class, W212 the 10+ Eclass.
W220 was a 99-06 S-class, replaced by the W221....

and to expand on this good explanation, yours, the CLS, is therefore a W219.
