2nd video has more aggressive throttle so the exhaust note at higher RPM is heard more so in Vid 2 (uploading it now).
Here is the first video

Was on the phone with the owner of Cypress Muffler earlier today and he actually just finished a C class with a C63 rear bumper not too long ago.
He said this exhaust was done from complete scratch and he used aftermarket mufflers and non AMG tips. Wanted to share with you all!

Your friend did a nice job here. You can rarely tell they weren't AMG mufflers. Originally Posted by CLS_724

I just saw your video...I live like literally 5 minutes away from that shop ahah. I always thought removing your secondary cats in California was illegal?Originally Posted by CLS_724

It sounds like an old pickup truck, and is too harsh.
Should be much deeper and smoother.

I'll be honest the GoPro didn't do a very good job catching the real exhaust tone. This weekend I plan on taking my camcorder and doing some drive by videos Originally Posted by Quantum

Finally had a chance to upload VIDEO (2) ...

Yes, I used factory OEM CLS63 mufflers that fit perfect. Only modification needed was the rear diffuser on my AMG sport package rear bumper.Originally Posted by Samlove

Nice mod, I did the CLS55 mufflers on my CLS500. I had already added the AMG spoiler, but I did change the diffuser out, got a CF one. Very nice results.

I'm pleased with the results just wish she had the motor and brakes to back the noise the mufflers are now making Originally Posted by bigben320e

Does removing the secondary cats affect the car from passing California smog requirements? I have a CLS 500 and I've replaced the front and rear bumpers with CLS 55 bumpers. I also changed the exhaust to magnaflow mufflers with quad tips. The sound is better but not deep as I would like. What would be the next best thing to do to get a deeper sound? Removing the resonator or removing the cats?
Don't mean to revive this thread but wanted to update it with the new links to the new vids in case any others wanted to do the mods and hear how the car sounded.
