Hardwiring a V1

I'm trying to get to a switched power wire for my Valentine 1 hardwiring kit. Can someone tell me how to get to the cig lighter power wire?. I can get the console apart...

Go to V1 website order a Savvy, you just plug to OBD, very neat. I just order 2 for BMW, ML

I'll check that out for the future, but in the meantime, I went through the firewall to the sealed engine compartment fuse box and got power there.. Flawless!

I did to my ML, remove front ashtray and tap one wire behind cig lighter, you have to look for wire that when on/off, ground on frame near door
