Wanting to upgrade to 20"s, profile question?
Hey,
I currently have the stock 18" amg wheels. I wanted to upgrade to 20s but I don't like the fact I would have to go to a 25 profile in the rear. Has anyone ever upgraded to 285 30 20 in the rear and 255 35 20 in the front? I called tirerack and they told me that it might through of the sensors in the car, abs, speedo because I'm going over the limit in size. Some advice would be great.
Thanks

I remember my tire guy telling me that 30's would fit in the back after a quick glimpse. I wasn't positive and saw everyone running 25's so I didn't want to risk it. I never had any issues with those 25 series on the rear..but had lots of issues with 30 series in the front. I'm assuming because the wheel was narrower(8.5 width).

I have Asanti 20 inch rims on my car and running Bf goodrich g force 285/30 on back and 245/35 in front had no problems at all except sometimes the front rubs only when the car is in sport mode suspension.

Thanks for your help everyone, that is a HUGE that I can go bigger, I figure increasing the profile would be a much nicer ride and possibly save the rims from damage

I have Asanti 20" wheels on my 2009 CLS 550 with:
(Hankook Ventus V12) 255/30Z on front and 305/25Z on the rear. There's nothing close to rubbing in the wheel wells.
I've got about 10 different pics posted on my profile to give a better idea.
