Resonator deleted!...but still no sound improvement, help!

Guys,

I recently took my CLS500 to the muffler shop, they deleted the resonator and installed an X-Pipe, but still, I am getting a very muted sound!!! 😰 is there anything else that I need to take off or install to make it sound a little heavier?

They reason why it sounds soo tame becuase you added an X pipe.
Replace the resonator with straight pipes and you will get a much more aggressive tone.

Thanks man!
Most people replace the resonators with an X pipe then realize the sound hasn't improved much.
You'll be happy with the straight pipes.
Post some vids when you get a chance, would love to hear what this beast sounds like.

Should I just "gut" the mufflers and remove secondary cats?

X-pipe is good for better flow but straight pipes is strictly for sound. I put straight pipe on my E500 and hated it. It sounded like a tracker trailer.
