Tail Light Error HELP!
Hi everyone,
I am a new kid here. I just bought a CLS500 +AMG package and just found out my right tail light parking bulb/(others) did not work but it did not show any errors on the COMAND screen. I thought I could just take out the bulb and take it to Autozone for them to match it. But it didn't work like that. I didn't know the bulb was soldered on to the board so I pulled the bulb off. Now there are error messages. I can't afford to buy another board so I just ordered Philips 921 bulbs and will solder it back on. Do you think it would work? Or it was not the bulb from the very begining? Could it be the fuse? where can I locate the fuse?
Please advise me.

my brother used whatever meter to test and he said the bulb was fine. so what is the problem? how come the light wasn't on when looked from behind or in park mode.
where can i get a used tail light? assembly by a shop? i am from los angeles btw. and why do i need the some to assembly when i could disassembly the tail light by myself? hehe...

Isn't the "disassembly the tail light by myself" what got you into trouble in the first place? They are talking about buying a used board from ebay and swapping them out. As for the fuse panel, check your owner's manual, there's more than one location.

I'd have to think that you should be able to find a '06 tail light on here for VERY cheap since quite a few people have upgraded to the '09 lights. I have a set of lights off my '07 (that will fit your '06) but I'm hanging onto them in the event that I sell my CLS63.
