STUPID QUESTION, SO EDUCATE ME!

Here is a stupid question for you guys. How can many of you lower your car and still not rub on the Control arm bolt. Does the control arm move up and down as the tire moves, nullifiying the bolt to make contact with tire. Many people here are running 245/35/20 fronts and have no issue rubbing, same as my buddy who is runnung 245/35/20 Fronts and 285/35/20 rears. He has no rubbing issues on Mandurus wheels.

However, I see many people running 245/30/20 with a two inch drop and not having any rubbing as well. Can sombody please clarify.

Is the key to this is the wheel offset? Theorectically keeping your offset to 20 & below the smart thing to do.

How does the control arm work in realtions to the tire moving as well?

V/R
