Center vents removal procedure?

Hello all, first post here. It looks like I have a pretty common issue to fix. The side to side movement of the center vents has broken. In hopes of a simple fix I would like to remove the part to take a look. I saw the procedure for the e class on here but I do not see any clips to pry inside there. I do not just want to start tugging and make a costly mistake so any help would be appreciates. Thanks

Center air outlet unclips by carefully pulling out on left and right side – ideally, you should use a pulling hook (MB part # 140589023300).

Yeah, it is meant to be pulled out by two hooks. There are two holes which you need to hook onto. The holes are on the inside of the vents, on right and left sides. I used hooks made of coat hanger to pull mine out. I had the same problem and I could not find a way to repare it without replacing the hole assembly.
