Help!!!!
Ok , so I bought an aftermarket radio gps, dvd, and whatever on-line. I was able to bypass the fiber optic amp by using the special harness the company sent me. So i plug in all the wires behind the radio except for one plug. The plug has yellow, black, and blue wires going in to the plug. Now I know that usually yellow wire is usually power (12V), Blue wire is ignition/acessory, and finally black is ground. So I wanted to tap into the nearest power, accesory, ground possibly so I decided to use the cigarette lighter. Here is the problem I obvious blew the fuse in the lighter because it no longer works. I know I need to change the fuse in the engine compartment for the lighter but my question is this. The red wire with the white stripe is what 12V or ignition accessories? The brown wire I already know is ground/negative. I think the other wire is grey going to into the lighter plug. I just need to know if the red wire with the white stripe is 12v power then that will obivously leave me with the blue wire to connect to the other wire which is grey or whatever color as i totally forgot . I am working on 2006 mercedes Cls 500

Did you ever get this working? I have a 2006 CLS500 and everyone keeps telling me that I can't get an aftermarket radio because of the fiber. Just curious what you bought and how difficult the install was.
I think maybe I've been talking to people who just don't have the skill level required.
