2007 cls 550 ???

2007 cls 550 ???
at 48,000 miles my 2007 cls550 has started making a "whining" sound at start up. it only lasts 30-45 secondds. it sounds like a small high speed motor turning at very high rpm. any thoughts??

2006 CLS500, 61k miles same thing. When I start the car in the morning and it sits for about 1 min before driving away (which usually doesn't happen), what sounds like an air-pump comes on. I believe that it's pumping excessive air into the intake to expel the gasses on a cold startup. Sound Start's low then get's somewhat loud. Lasts for about 30 seconds.
Has done this since I bought the car at 40k miles.
Doesn't happen if I drive away within 20-30 seconds of starting. Doesn't happen when car/engine is warm.
