I am trying to figure out how to trigger the tire pressure monitor system on my 2010 CLS 550(Canada), I inflated the 3 tires at 32psi and the front driver at 23psi and drove for approx 30kms and the sensor did not activate.
how can i get it to activate?
I know my vehicles system works on the rotation of tires to determine if a wheel is not rotating at the same speed as the others but if i dropped 9psi in one tire shouldn't that be enough to trigger it?
can someone help me out here?

my tpms info suggests rotational system since info available after few mins of driving...
BUT if at filling station with rectify tp screen up.. changes in real time with car stationary... so cannot be rotational.
what did tpms (- screen toggled behind ext temp one)... report for each tyre?
driving for about 2-3 minutes will activate mine

thanks for the reply jvdas,
my vehicle's tpms does not have a tire pressure reading for each tire, it will simply turn on if there is low pressure in any tire and does not indicate which tire.
When i toddle through the screen the only option i have is to re-activate the tpms.
also, i drove for about 20 minutes with the tire pressures i mentioned and it did not go off.

Once, while driving on the interstate, I hit an object in the road. I drove for about 3 miles before I got the warning. In my Corvette it gives a warning if the pressure drops below 25lbs, thereby giving you time to get things repaired. In the Mercedes I was only warned AFTER I had driven the car far enough to destroy the tire. At $385.00 , I was not happy.
Thanks rbrtclk,
does anyone else know why it hasn't come on? or do you think the pressure needs to be lower than 23psi?
