Passenger Side Xenon Headlight turn purple
hello Guys,
I have the Xenon headlights on my 2008 cls550, the passenger side head light is literally purple in color. Im thinking it is burnt out, do anyone have the part number for this bulb? how difficult is it to replace the headlight, called the dealership and was quoted for a new bulb for $193.50. is this a plug and play type of installation, where can i buy it online?

Here's the bulb:
Passenger side is easier to change. Driver's side requires you to temporarily remove the coolant reservoir (even with small hands).
Don't you dare pay dealer prices for Xenons!

A few words of caution when replacing HiD bulbs, make sure there is no power running and that the ignitor module is carefully disconnected from the bulb (preferably wear latex/nitrile mechanics gloves). The voltages involved are in the thousands and can not only give you a severe shock if you have a pacemaker it could be curtains.....the kind they pull around the coffin!
